Medicare Part C

Medicare Advantage plans, also referred to as Medicare Part C, are bundled plans that offer Medicare Part A and Part B in one easy plan. Most of these plans include prescription drug coverage and offer extra coverages like dental, vision, and hearing care that you wouldn't normally get with regular Medicare. Just make sure to review the provider network, out-of-pocket costs, and additional benefits before you choose the best plan for you.

Medicare Supplement Plans

Medigap plans, also known as Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans, are here to work alongside your Original Medicare. They help cover those out-of-pocket expenses, keeping your healthcare costs from getting out of hand. With a Medigap plan, you can visit any provider that accepts Medicare. The best time to enroll in a Medigap plan is during your Medicare Initial Enrollment Period, right when you first sign up for Medicare.

Prescription Drug Coverage

Original Medicare (Parts A and B) doesn't cover prescription drugs. Medicare Part D is just that, a private plan to cover the drug costs you incur. Before you pick a plan, it's important that you check which pharmacies are in the network and what the copay is for your medications. Part D plans typically go hand-in-hand with a Medicare Supplement Plan to give you a more complete coverage.
